Why does the clock change when I plug the Pedometer into my Computer?

The software is written such that when the pedometer plugged into the computer, it will automatically sync with the computer clock time. If the user's computer clock time is set to central time zone, hence the pedometer will sync with that.

Why does my setting change when I plug the Pedometer into my computer?

The user must select imperial or metric units from the pedometer setting mode first. Once selected, the computer software will detect the pedometer and choose the appropriate imperial or metric unit interface. If the pedometer maybe in metric unit mode but the software interface (from the computer) is some how in imperial mode, the end user will end up with values all different. The end user needs to input the correct values from the pedometer first, make sure the correct imperial or metric units is selected, then install the software onto the computer. Make sure they do a clean install (i.e. uninstall the software first and re-install again if you are correcting this issue).
